As the season ends, it's time for a short retreat in the middle of nowhere in southern Sweden. In mid-November, we withdraw for a week-long workation in the Swedish forests.
The goal? To complete the final tasks together, share stories by the fireplace, and see out the year among like-minded people. All in an environment far removed from everyday life.

The Workation
The workation is a concept that combines work with vacation. For us, this means spending a week together in an idyllic cabin in the north, wrapping up the final tasks of the year or finally tackling a long-postponed project. But since we're not just here to work, we also dedicate time to life's beautiful and inspiring things. We cook and eat together, go on excursions, or get creative.
A typical day
The morning starts with a shared breakfast and caffeinated hot drinks. Afterwards, we gather for a joint kick-off to plan the day. Each person briefly shares what they want to work on today and whether they need help with it. Finishing the last shoot edit, pre-planning social media, improving workflows, or finally revising that client contract? You work on whatever you want to move forward. And if you need help, the group will support you with advice and action.
After a productive morning, we close our laptops and immerse ourselves in the southern Swedish landscape. Depending on weather and mood, we hike through endless forests, stroll along one of the many lakes, or discover CottageCore in the surroundings. Or we get creative with spontaneous photo sessions and challenges.
On rainy days, we make ourselves comfortable in the cabin: We exchange ideas about current projects, share experiences from daily photographer life, or get inspired by each other's work. Sometimes this leads to spontaneous mini-workshops or lightning talks about topics we're passionate about.
The day winds down with communal cooking. In the kitchen, there's chopping, tasting, and laughter while others set the table and keep the fire going. The evening flies by with spontaneous presentations, deep conversations, or friendly battles at the game table.
